A lady contracted by a couple based in Germany to carry a pregnancy for them has bolted after collecting Ghc100,000 for the deal.

The young lady, Judith Kidith Serwaa Ampaafo Appiah is reported to have escaped with the baby from the 37 Military Hospital where she delivered.

Several attempts by the couple to reach her have been futile.

Judith is said to have enjoyed other benefits including a rented apartment, monthly allowance, feeding, a tricycle business, and other demands to make her comfortable.

According to the woman (identity withheld) whose egg was removed, she wanted a child for he new husband.

The woman, a mother of four told Crime Check that her husband, who also had children from his previous marriage, was shocked when he learnt that only one out of his four children was his.

The 50-year-old woman said she decided to give the man a child to comfort him but she always had miscarriages anytime she takes seed.

After a several failed attempts, the woman, with support from her husband, agreed to have a child through surrogacy.

The man, according to the woman, contacted Judith, who he claimed was a long-distant family relative for the surrogacy.

Fastforward, the young lady agreed to carry their pregnancy after the couple disclosed the amount they were offering her.

The woman said Judith was paid the money and provided every other demand she made.

However, when it was time to deliver and every cost paid for a successful delivery, Judith left the hospital unnoticed and has since been hiding, refusing the couple access to the baby.
