Man burns mother over marital issues

A Ghanaian Man based in Lybia has reportedly set his 70-year-old mother ablaze after dousing her with petrol.

The suspect, Anane Kwame is said to have returned home recently to Banda Sebie in the Bono Region.

According to reports, the victim has asked his son to divorce his wife for disrespecting her, a directive that did not sit well with the suspect.

This led to a misunderstanding, pushing Kwame to burn his mother and brother.

His brother managed to escape, but his mother unfortunately caught fire, leaving her with severe injuries.

The victims is said to be receiving treatment at the hospital as the suspect faces court.
