The ECG Power Queens Club, an association of female employees of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), has donated GH¢5,000 to Crime Check Foundation (CCF) to support its philanthropic activities.

The group made the donation as part of its 38th anniversary celebration.

Handing over the amount to the Foundation, the President of the Association, Dorinda Ode Mensah, said the donation is part of efforts to strengthen the Association's corporate social responsibility through which it can support the vulnerable and needy in society.

She stated that the Association aims to leave a legacy by lifting people out of poverty.

"This is to bring recognition to the Club as a humanitarian organisation, for the public to know that ECG is not only structured for billing, but for extending a helping hand as well," she said.

Receiving the donation, the Executive Director of Crime Check Foundation, Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng, said the various activities of the Foundation are meant to improve people's lives as he underscored the need to help the poor.

"Crime Check is known for crime prevention, but we also undertake various philanthropic projects, including Street Charity, Village Charity, and Educational Support Series. Helping the poor is also a means to fight crime," he stated.

The Association pledged continued support towards the activities of the Crime Check Foundation to touch lives through its projects.
