Doctors at the 37 Military Hospital in Awome have successfully removed a motorbike key that had lodged in the skull of Mr. Moro Razak, a 29-year-old farmer from Awoma, a farming community in the Jasikan Municipality of the Oti Region.
Mr. Razak sustained life-threatening injury on Tuesday, July 21, at about 2100 hours while attempting to separate two youths engaged in a fight.
The altercation reportedly involved two youths from Bodada, who had travelled to Ameyo to play tsatsa (gamble), a local game.
During the confrontation, Mr. Razak who intervened to restore calm, was allegedly stabbed with a motorbike key, which became embedded in his skull.
He was rushed to the Jasikan Municipal Hospital for emergency treatment but was later referred to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra due to the severity of his condition.
