Man ties stepdaughter, sexually assaults her, hit her with blocks, and leaves her to die

A teenage girl has died after an alleged assault by her stepfather at Domeabra, a suburb of Agona Ahanta in the Ahanta West Municipality. The incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. today, Monday, June 1, 2026, near A$B School.

According to preliminary reports, the deceased lived with her stepfather, an ex-convict, and her aunt.

The stepfather is alleged to have restrained the girl before sexually assaulting her repeatedly, leaving her severely weakened.

Two residents, a man and a woman who were on their way to their farm at dawn, reportedly found the girl dragging herself on the ground and calling for help. She allegedly told them her stepfather was responsible and warned them he might still be nearby. The witnesses untied her and attempted to take her to a hospital.

Before they could leave the scene, the stepfather is said to have emerged from hiding, overpowered the rescuers, and taken the girl back. The witnesses then rushed to a nearby fire service station to alert authorities. When they returned with others, they found the girl had been fatally assaulted with cement blocks.

She was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead later in the afternoon.

Police have launched investigations into the incident. The suspect remained at large.
