A German-based Ghanaian woman (namewitheld) has told Crime Check she suspects she has been swindled by her husband who connived with a lady in a surrogacy deal.

The woman said they both had four children each from their previous marriages, but the man later found out through DNA tests that only one out of the children belonged to him.

Unfortunately, the woman who had intended to console the man by giving birth for him couldn't carry a pregnancy as anytime she takes seed, she has miscarriages.

After agreeing on getting a child through surrogacy, the woman said the man recommended Judith Kidith Serwaa Ampaafo Appiah, a lady he claimed was a distant family relative to be engaged as the surrogate mother.

A deal was reached, and payments more than GHC 100,000 were made to the surrogate mother, the woman said.

She said throughout the pregnancy, only the man was in contact with Judith.

Fast forward, after enjoying other benefits including rent, a business, and monthly allowance aside the huge sum, Judith escaped with the baby from the 37 Military Hospital where she delivered.

The woman who had had her health deteriorate after removing her eggs for the surrogacy disclosed to Crime Check that she had planned to return to Ghana to harm Judith with a gun she had bought.

She believes it was a way her husband connived with Judith to siphon money from her.

More details soon.
